Hollow Tree
A 1930's photo of the Hollow Tree. The interior of this tree was destroyed by hot volcanic ash. It is also known as the Robert Louis Stevenson tree. Petrified Charlie met Robert Louis Stevenson at the forest in 1879. Stevenson is the author of "Silverado Squatters" and "Treasure Island"
